strut tower bars/brace?
 

can anyone help me with this should i get a strut tower bar?

And apologies for what might be a dumb question but what do strut tower bars do exactly? my understanding is that they stabilise the suspension??

and what are the better brands looks wise and for performance?

Works great at high speed or in situations with large stress loads... but on the street you'll feel no real noticeable difference (unless you were like me and felt like the car had no flex whatsoever on it's first drive with the brace on :P )

I wouldn't say stabalise, but would say that under certain conditions, e.g. hard cornering, it would reduce the amount of flex experienced at the front of the car.

Have a look at ultrex.com.au. We did front/ rear struts and a h brace very easy install once I got the back seat out, much to hubbies entertainment ...mine have made a world of difference...

Strut braces are not really needed on a GD.

I'd be installing sway bars first.

Agreed - sway bars are a much better investment.

Strut bar is much more useful when installed with lower arm / H bracing. Surprisingly, in the later 2000's Subaru they went to a brace with "flexibility" both top and bottom strut / lower arm bars.

Also going to agree to this.
In my previous ride (08 wrx) I had the lower control arm brace (H brace) and the strut tower brace and I only noticed a slight difference (with sways on at the same time).
In my current ride, the change experienced when putting in bigger/better sway bars was huge!
Start with sways and you won't be disappointed :D
