Default Weird dash light ...WTF is wrong with my REX

Hi everyone!!

Recently I have been getting a weird dash light coming up whenever I start my car. The picture below shows the dash symbols that come up everytime I start my car.

At first I thought it was due to a bad battery so I have gone and fitted a new one just today. However, it didn't solve the issue. Still getting that red engine light and the battery symbol on my dash.

With the new battery the car starts no worries
The oil and coolant levels are fine as well.

Is there anything else I should be checking?

Would Verso have anything to do with it. I remember driving around with the same bunch of engine lights showing everytime I start the motor for about 1 week. The car didn't seem to have any difficulty starting. It was only recently that the car had trouble starting.

I used a portable car charger to charge up the old battery but it didn't not seem to hold charge.

Don't all cars show these lights before the car is started? I don't see what the issue is?

You need to close all the doors and put your seatbelt on.

If the battery light is staying on it will be a fault of the alternator not the battery.
Get the charge rate checked by a trusted mechanical workshop, you should see anywhere between 13.8 - 14.2 volts.

CHeck your fuses, under dash and in the engine bay. If they're fine, then get alternator checked.
A blown alternator supply voltage fuse will show this, you might have done while trying to charge the battery/jump start your car.
