subaru keypad security system

hi,
i a total new noob to subaru security sytem. what happen is coz i left my car in garage for 2 weeks without driving or starting it, the battery went dead so i have to jumpstart it today. after jumpstart, i reliese the keypad doesnt have lights? so i stop the car after a while, used the alarm locking, wait for maybe 10mins and open the door again, then i reliese theres no lights showing on keypad and i can start the car......so i turn off car again, and now i saw a light came on on the keypad and it just stay on "1" even if i lock the door it still only lights on "1".....so anyone got any clues whats happening? i tried to look at the menu, but i still dont get it, so if anyone can explain to me it would be great....thx guys~~!:D

Guessing you don't have the brant manual?

Also you should consider replacing that battery.

Just a touch up on this topic, Can you disconnect the battery for like a week if i knew i was going on holiday? and then plug back in and the keypad will do the same mode and after 10 starts it will return to usual code immobilizer? Also would disconnecting the battery cause any computer problems? im new sorry :)

Disconnecting the battery will mean you have no alarm whilst on holiday. Consult your insurer prior to doing this.

I would be putting the car on a trickle charger rather than doing this.

what kato said use a trickle charger the brant doesn't like to be left for dead as it will not remember is code pre 02 model subies iirc

I left mine for 4 week when I was in Euro started first time just need new fuel

I got mine from steve @ Autopro or just let him knife you few times in BF3 :P get extra discount
