I'll check the part number on min in the morning.

You can set up the Auxiliary inputs on the datalogit to log any 0-5v sensor output.

Of course, I keep forgetting about the Datalogit inputs.

Do you run a 3 port Mac valve? I remember with my PFC setup sean @ asg got me to install a 3 port Mac valve because he believed the PowerFC was capable of handling boost to a certain point in which anywhere after that it would require a mac valve for proper boost control.

Well that was what i got from it. Sounds like sloppy boost control to me, then it protects itself from overboosting.....at a guess.

I have a GReddy Profec B boost controller, I don't use the standard boost solenoid system. What boost pressure are you getting up too?

I can happily get up to 1.08 kgcm2 or just over 1 bar & hold there, but if I try to turn the boost up over this point it cuts out. Its not a over-boosting issue as such, as I am telling the controller to boost higher, its not like it cant control the boost. I am 99% certain that's its the MAP sensor that cant read above 1.15 bar. This then reaches its higher voltage output and goes into what is more well known as boost cut.

have you turned off the boost kit on the power fc (not that you should)? It needs to be 'on' always.

It will boost cut at .25 kgcm over the set values under the boost settings......Set all the values to 1.4 bar/kgcm under boost settings & see if it still boost limits.

Let me know what happens.

I wont be able to try what you have said Rossco until Thursday. But..

I thought the boost control kit function, was just that. The addition of the Apexi boost control kit, with the 3 bar MAP sensor & the boost solenoid plugged directly into the FC? I believe if this setting is turned on (which mine is currently off. Is this also not off by default?) then it will not look at the OEM boost solenoid & OEM MAP sensor?

Sure by doing this it will not look at the MAP sensor, but I cant see how, without the 3 bar MAP sensor plugged into the FC it will register any boost?

Cheers for your help so far too, its all very interesting information.

The boost control setting must be 'on' even with the factory map sensor. Having it turned off does weird things....Even with an external boost controller.

For all wrx Pfc's the default is on.
