Brant System Failure?! HELP DESPERATE!
I'm at my last resort and I am going nuts over this as now I'm trying to sell my WRX MY06 by next week hopefully.
My car was in the works for just over a year so haven't really started from then till now. Just got the car back from the workshop a couple days back. Recently have the car back and now it won't accept my PIN. Did the whole reset thing where two person job were required but that only lasted 9 starts and after that I'm back to square one. The alarm is chirping 2,5,8,0. I don't know what kind of error is that. I called up to get the master code and I got it. But I don't know what to do with it as the keypad itself keeps chirping at me and would not allow me to enter any numbers in at all! Even after the reset! It just goes straight to valet mode and won't let me go to any other mode. Turning the ignition no and off, the keypad remains the same, flashing the same numbers and still that annoying chirping. I can't bring it to any Subaru dealers as I am from this small island (Christmas Island). There are no subaru specialist here or any alarm fitters. There's only a population of no more than 1000 people here. So yeah, i'm screwed! I want to disable the alarm system altogether as we don't even lock our cars and we leave our keys inside, it's this sort of island where you do anything bad, you have no chance to get out of here. So can anybody help me? I have my own pin and master code already, what do I do? they told me to turn the ignition on to ON and punch in the code, I've tried several times and nothing happened. It is still unstartable unless i reset it again, but that only gives me valet mode. Its not good enough! I need to disable or somehow fix that stupid alarm. I'm trying to sell this car now regrettably. HELP HELP HELP! |

Take out the module, then solder the pins of the different immobilization points together. This will bypass it. The siren will probably go off which will require you to remove it.
There is a picture of the board somewhere on the forum. Alternatively, ship it off to Perth to one of the workshops to fix. Adi |

City Subaru fitted a new keypad and module for me at about $280.
