Turbo Dilema VF35 or Blouch TD05-20G or get another
I own two turbos a VF35 and the TDO5. I have read almost every post on TD05-20G on a 2lt. Some say good some say bad regarding lag.
The TDO5 is new and if it is not suitable I would rather sell it "new" and get something else. I know the 35 will go great but maybe hold it back at little due to the P15 housing. My engine consists of the following: EJ20G v3 sti heads ported Wiseco Eagle rods rephased crank Power FC FMIC Intake under manifold reversed manifold, rotated turbo housing.(My pipes run under the headlights so piping runs are short) Kando EL headers TIAL 38mm EWG (not hooked up but will use if has anything to offer) I have some 440 yellow and 650 sard's to use. JDM DCCD six speed Car is not a daily and I would like to do some of the motorsport events (AHG) Power wise 220kw would be nice. Thoughts ! |
definitely the td05 with your setup
you can also sell me the vf35 if you want ;) |
vf35 will get you up to 320hp+/480nm+ with 816cc decaps.

standard unopened 02 sti engine, v6 sti cams, big boost, angle mounted turbo, stumpy venturi dump + 3" exhaust ceramic coated + header wrapped, xforce headers ceramic coated + header wrapped, motec (of course), plus plenty of smaller tweaks ive meantioned over the years!
good thing about big boost on the vf series is the turbo is the safety factor. it can only be pushed so far, which is better then pushing a 207 over its limit |
nearly 6 years ago. :-)
Special car that was. |
