Once I went back to the factory option IMO my car ran so much better. I didn't actually install the SSQV.

No you dont NEED one.

It is not a bad thing to have one though.

Flutter is king - ran no bov on my black rs, 32, and second rs. Only time Ive had one when it was factory fitted or already there haha

If you have a modern ball bearing turbo. Id recommend a BOV just so it lives longer.

If you have a plain bearing turbo like TD0-whatever... flutter the shit out of it. They can handle it.

Interesting. What do you do, just get a blanking plate made? Not that I'd do it for a VF52, just curious

Yeah. Blanking plate or hose plugs do the job.

Wouldn't a lack of BoV cause fuelling issues?

agree, no need for a bov if you know what to expect.

tip- just dont lift fully off the throttle between gear changes, you wont have as bad'r compressor surge. (and the car will be faster).

Cheers guys, confirmed what I was thinking. Not overly bothered if the TD04 dies as long as it doesn't take anything out when it self combusts.

Plan is a TD05 so I might just hold off and look into it more when the time comes.
