Can a mod also fix up the thread title for me? Should read "Do I really need a blow off valve?" not "as" blow of valve..

Guess what I'm doing this weekend....goodbye BOV. Come to think of it, years ago I owned a Nissan Exa Turbo, didn't have intercooler or BOV.

I don't know if removing your BOV is the best idea, if you have a factory one just keep it as its more than loud enough.

If you want the BOV sound my old GF8 had the factory MY99 BOV and pod filter = big BOV noise.

I have a louder than normal flutter probably due to my 100 meters of FMIC pipe work + pod filter. That and my turbo taking a beating "only running stock 13.5psi"

All I'm saying is that if you have a factory BOV don't take it off, it's put on by Subaru and keeps your turbo happy and your throttle response a little bit more (snappy) for lack of a better word.

In my case I never had one and can't fit a factory one.
