Oil in the intercooler isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's common, not a good thing but it does happen. You would find oil in most peoples intercoolers.

Double check you oil levels.

Is it blowing smoke out the exhaust?

You will find that with any standard air intake piping as you breather hoses are plumed back into it. Nothing serious. If you like you could install a oil catch can.

No smoke mate. Yes always double check the oil level. So the small drop of oil under the car is normal for all sti? Thanks for the response.

I wouldn't say oil dropping out under the car is ever a good thing but oil in the intercooler isn't always a bad sign.

An oil catch can will look good.. Do much? Not sure to be honest.. I have one for the sake of just having one.

Call in at any good mechanic be it Evolution R or STechnic and just ask them.

100% sure it's pure oil? If its a filthy black oil stain, then i would be worried.

I had the same thing lately, well I thought it was oil.

Turned out to just be some mostly water with just a bit of grease in it from all the water going into the scoop and collecting on the engine and dripping when I parked in my garage.

Only noticed it when i saw a few grease marks on the driveway.
