Default bov question

hey guys,

so after doing a bit of reading on the forum via search tools, I could not find a clear answer as to whether fitting a bov to my 06 wrx sedan is a good idea?

i was thinking of the gfb stealth fx as it has the option to adjust it to suit your needs full vent/ full circ / 50-50 etc...

would it cause any damage to the turbo or engine? leaking?

if anyone has a aftermarket bov attached to their 06/07 wrx some thoughts would be much appreciated.

thank you

Unless you are running a spoon engine with a T66 and NOS

or

your current BPV is stuffed

why do you want to change it?

The following gains will be made by adding an aftermarket BOV to your car:

1) infinite frowns
2) infinite shakes of the head
3) +100 fuckstick points

Well if you vent to atmosphere, you will draw more cop attention, put your car in a position to be yellow stickered and require a tune so your car doesn't run like a pile of shit.

Why bother?

exactly the reason why i said to each their own...

but all fuckstickery aside, back to the question, why do i need a retune if i change the bov? does it mess with AF ratio?

not directly, but it will flip the ecu out, which in turn will.

buy an electric bov off ebay if you must.

Hey mate i ran a gfb bov, tried it on 100% atmo and my car ran pretty average, revs would dip constantly when slowing up causing the car to stall and just generally did not run as smooth, changed it to 50/50, recirc/atmo and had zero problems, so yeh if you want to do it, go for it
