Whats that popping noise?
 

Hey crew!

Just bought a wrx and i noticed that when im about to make a turn:

1. I shift the gear down
2. Rev goes higher obviously
3. But when this happens i sometimes hear a pop in the exhaust.

Is this normal? Im new to the world of subaru wrx owners, so i just wanna make sure everything is all goood.

Any help/suggestions would be great!

Yeah its fine.

Its just your cars way of telling everyone around you how awesome it is. The more pops the better!

Yeah its normal - it can happen. If it is excessive then I would have it checked but to happen here and there is standard with any performance car.

Do you have an exhaust or atmospheric blow off valve?

I get flames when I get a pop

My car pops at least 3 times when I downshift. Yours only pop once?
