engine light on a rs

Hello, Im a newbie to the site, and a recent owner of a 2004 RS wagon. From time to time my check engine light will come on for a very short time then go off, the handling isnt affected at all or anything, no extra warning lights nothing. It just comes on for a secod or 2 then off it goes and may not see it for a day to weeks. Can anyone shed some light onto what this may be? i have tried using the search and from what i can tell my cruise control light doesnt come on at all with it. Any help appreciated, thank you

I believe its pretty common across all gen3/4 liberty's

I presume this is happening while you are driving, not on startup?

If you are concerned take it too a workshop and have them check to see if it giving a CEL code.

Yup while driving, not overly concerned as it doesnt seem to affecting the car at all. and very intermittent. i may try and hold of till i take it in for a service.

Past check engine codes are saved in the ECU. You will need a workshop or someone with a scantool to bring up the code and diagnose the problem
