Auto transmission upshift problem
Hi guys, I have been a perth-wrx member (thou I dun own a rex) for a whole, hoping you guys can provide some feedback.
My Evo GTA (auto transmission) is having a problem upshifting from 3rd gear to 4th gear under hard acceleration. The RPM will reach redline then drop and goes up again a couple of times before shifting to the next gear. Its fine during normal driving. Is it some serious transmission problem? The transmission fluid is above the required level. |
The transmission fluid is above the required level.
Why? |
Meant to mean the fluid level is adequate.

Will need someone to look at it, if fluid level is correct, it may be a valve body problem.
But, a workshop will be able to access the control module and get a better idea Not hitting rev limiter? |

^^ This. |
Just before hitting the rev limiter when the car struggles to up shift. It only occurs during hard acceleration. Normal driving the tranmission has no hiccup.
