You can probably get it a little cheaper online. But then you have to wait for it to show up.
Have you tried local wreckers? The adjuster is common to almost all H4 engines from '97 up to '08.
Bound to be able to find a second hand one somewhere, if not, they're not expensive new , and should be either in stock or available locally from a dealer parts dept.
Plus, you'll be supporting local business

I snapped one a few years ago. Called around the wreckers and was quoted $30 odd. Called Subaru and a new one was like $7.

Off topic, but the same thing happened to me with a fog light for my Outback.
I work at a dealership, got a quote for $170 new. Wreckers quoted me $200!
Moral, do your research, and get a new price quote before ringing around wreckers.

Some parts are reasonable, others are daylight robbery. Like CV Joints @ a couple of grand each, Radiators are over 2 grand and Ex Japan for some models and let's not forget the $1400 intercooler rubber bend!

The reason you sometimes get shafted at a wreckers yard is even if the guy gives you the part for free, he still has to pay some knuckledragging 'yardie' ~$40/hr to put down the bong long enough to unbolt it from the wrecked car..
Sonic likes this.
