I would have to agree that it is probably the AFM. You may have sucked up some water from your air intake. Is the car sooting and running very rich?

Subaru will rip you for a replacement but Mao at Evo R does them pretty cheap.

My old GC8 went through about 4 of them in the 10 years I had the old girl.

do you have a pod filter?
Ive had it also after a wash/heavy rain and if i lifted the bonnet there was usually some water sitting in the folds of my pod. probably sucked in some water. was it quite a harsh feeling when it lost power? mine ran fine afterwards though

Yeah mate it was very harsh loss of power almost same as when your boosting and air hose comes off but no hoses are loose

If you're running an aftermarket fuel pump, it will be noisier when it's a hot day
It's normal

Get rid of the air pod filter, it's a known AFM killer 99.9% of the time
Borrow someone's AFM and test

Also, please use some punctuations

And for the rest, no need for name calling
We only do that if workshops are involved

i'm not refering to water. I'm refering to oil from the filter
If you've over oiled the pod filter, which is often the case, you will stuff the AFM
