Aircon problem
 

Hey guys when I brought this car air con worked fine some reason now when I turn it on revs go up and down when idling like from 400 to 800 and can hear air con clicking on and off. well at least that's what it sounds like it has apexi power fc think maybe computer is not picking up that air con is on ??! Any one got any know be great thanks , oh it's 2000 wrx gc8 model

your car should rev up when you turn the air con on, it may just be very low on gas,either way your going to need to take it to an auto electrician for a regas or a workshop

Seeking some clarification on your problem...

Car idles at 800rpm with no air con
Car idles at 400rpm with air con engaged?

Is this the issue you're experiencing?

No mate it idles fine normally. When i turn the air con on it drops down to about 600 but if I rev car up it comes right down after almost 400 and then aircon starts clicking over and over and revs just bounce between 400 and 800.. As too previous comment air con was working fine couple days ago so not too sure but thanks anyway :)

Dose it do the same when you work the powersteering? Maybe the stepper motor not doing its job.

hmm im not sure wierd thing is last night i pressed the button and turn fan on before i started the car and then started it drive around and it worked fine ???

does the idle hunt only when the air con is on?

Has the power fc been tuned or just whacked in?

Yeah idling hunting correct

It has been tuned but been having problems ever since maf sensor played up while ago .
