i do admit that night when it happened i did push her abit but its only running on 15 pounds of boost..

Um hard to tell because when i do rev it up the engine noise drowns out the knocking/clicking sound

From experience with this same noise I think it could be either of the 2 suggestions above. What I did to check was:
Exhaust manifold leak- 1) let your car cool down completely. the temp needle must be on the bottom line. This will ensure your thermo fans don't turn on and give you a false diagnosis.
2) rip a piece of tissue into quarters and holding it by 2 fingers on the corner, run it around the area of your manifold on the side with the noise. You'll be able to see the tissue move rediculously if you have a small leak. even if it's in a hard to reach place this usually works pretty good.

Worn shim/tappet- the easiest thing would be to fill your car with thicker oil. Even if you empty it again after the test. You should be able to hear the tapping is quiter. It won't go away completely, but enough to tell a difference and let you know where the issue is. Or if you can get hold of a length of metal rod or thin pipe, hold one end to your ear and the other to the rocker cover. You'll be able to tell if the tappers is where the noise is coming from.

Of course this doesn't suit everyone, but I found it works for me. If its neither of these things then I'm sorry for wasting your time haha :)
