2004 WRX OBD II Standard
 
Hey guys, im after a bluetooth OBD II thingy so i can wirelessly read the data that it can provide

I was wondering, if any OBD II bluetooth device will work, and if its universal, or if there is some sort of standard of OBD II that i need to make sure i get

Any help would be awesome

I have one on order from the uk, its not an expensive one, but as long as it does the job!
I'll post up how it goes when it eventually arrives.

Cheers! Will be awesome! i was talking to a friend, and he said that you have to make sure you get the "right" obd II bluetooth device, apparantly there are a few different types that have different standards, or something along those lines

Its awesome, can scan faults, monitor everything available, use it to map your route with all values recorded etc etc

Ive used it on a monaro Captiva rav4, liberty all of various age and they all worked fine.

I have the same one as above. Has worked in several cars fine. I have torque for android to log all my data and scan for faults works really well i would recommend it. I have plans to buy a cheap 7 inch tablet and run torque on it with it mounted in the dash but those plans are on hold until a bit more cash is flowing. I do recommend it, the logging feature is particularly good.

i have "scan gauge II" got given it by a friend, but it has heaps of different modes like

"ISO, KWPS, KWPF, CANSF,
CANLF, CANSS or CANLS"

And i have to pick one :s

My $6 Vgate Bluetooth obd II dongle works a dream
(tdi golf, my05 sti & monaro)
