pressure switch (For DIY IC SPRAY)

Hello all,

What pressure switches are people using for auto DIY IC spray circuits?

I see "hobbs" talked about.. But which one? Fixed 5 PSI?? Or adjustable 4-7PSI??

I bought a diffrent brand 0.2 BAR to 2.5 BAR adjustable. ... But in testing it.. It's more like 0.5 bar to 2.5 bar... When installed in the car it gets worse.. Kicks in around 1 bar.. i know there isn't any vac leaks.. using 3MM silicone hose to switch. (forgot to say it drives the relay.. not the pump directly..)

Any ideas? I'm hoping to have it turn ON before 0.5 BAR... I have a 10.5 L tank in the boot.. so got heaps of water...

Thanks Tim.

I have this one. You should be able to get something similar through Veale.
Adjustable from 4 to 14psi.

Thanks guys, I bought a hobbs one.. might look at the micro switch style..

What "on" pressure do most people run?

I have a 10.5L tank.. so was going to run quite low pressure..

Tim.

It also depends on ur water pump flow rate, nozzles size, no. of nozzles.

I use windscreen washer bottle with 35psi water pump with smallest flow rate I could find, and four 30psi nozzle. A full tank lasts one week.
