I said 'most' -- it has varied for some MY08-10s on the dyno.

We do a simple method of testing on the dyno by just opening up the airbox while it is on the dyno to determine whether the CAI or intake is required.

Below are some pics of a GD air box. We have done quite a bit of R+D where intakes and CAIs are concerned.

In this case, we allowed more air into the intake before the air filter to test if the air box is restrictive on the GD STi. We always test if the airbox is restrictive before each tune.

Oil filter can mess up with the MAF sensor. So K&N being an oiled one can cause issues for the MAF. better to get an AVO high flow air filter which is not an oiled one and still u will get the advantage of having a high flow airfilter.
