I am assuming you are getting intermittent power steering. It seems to come on and then goes away while steering.

Replace the o-rings where the plumbing goes to your pump.

Air is getting in the hydraulic system.

At first the car was making awful noises and the power steering fluid was actually overflowing from the reservoir. Had quite a bit of bubbles in it, managed to sort that out, now I have ran into another issue...

On startup it will make a squealing noise when trying to turn the wheel, this dies down/disappears pretty quick. Although the steering doesn't feel 100% at all, goes all stiff, almost locks up in places when trying to turn the wheel, sometimes feels like the power steering actually cuts out. I have loosened the belts, tightened them, made sure all bolts and that have been screwed in and tightened properly, checked the power steering line for leaks/pinches. I'm not sure, maybe the pump is going?

Truly stumped, it's annoying me too because, well, I don't want to drive it in it's current state.

Poor girl..
