Default Max HP through standard fuel line

So,

I have asked myself the question. How much HP can the standard fixed hard fuel line flow (the one that runs through the car take on standard pressures?). Early model GF8 if that makes a difference, running 2 044's down that line. Do I need to uprage the line size with a GT35R?

Anyone making silly power, using the standard hard line from rear to front, post ya results up.

the standard fuel line would support up to around 600hp on race fuel, and a comfortable 500hp on pump fuel, you would get away with a single 044, mounted in tank.

also. no such thing as silly power.

So Stace, Target of around 550 - 570HP on E85 is that doable through standard in car line?

mmm, e85 maybe not (i'm not all up on the corn juice fad), you need to burn too much juice for the same result.

real race fuel i.e. VP109 would net you those figures with big boost without a doubt.

the right setup would achieve 550 with pump fuel too.

Time to run some bigger lines then I guess. Now the only other question I have is if I am running a larger feed line, surely I am going to need to run a larger return too, or this will cause poor pressure control in the lower RPM range?

As Stace said e85 burns very quickly compared to normal fuels. Because of this it is recommened to pretty much double up on the fuel system. 1000cc injectors, bosch pump shoud be fine aswell. Just to be safe and have a little head room. The thing with e85 is that its corrosive aswell so using teflon coated lines is a good idea, plus e85 goes off quicker than normal fuel

1000cc injectors on E85 will not get me to my target HP level. I already have much larger injectors in the car anyway.

Craig, get Dash 8 for the feed line mate, Dash 6 is only slightly larger than the ID of the steel line that goes through the car.

Well your going to either need to run even bigger injectors or just use race fuel
