Default GC8 Owners - Need your help! Steering Spline Q

Discovered this while fitting a dump pipe on my car today... from what I can gather it's the end of the steering column, and I'm not sure if that much spline should be showing...

Can anyone with a GC8 have a look at theirs for me? My car did have a full engine/driveline swap about half a year ago so could just look fresh due to being recently worked on, but I just want to make sure I don't take a corner and find myself with a decorative wheel in front of me...

And yes, the bolt in the pics is there and goes all the way through.

Didn't feel loose or anything, or nothing out of the ordinary anyway. Thanks for having a look!

On my rs there was still spline showing and that was after I changed the rack out too. As long as the bolts are tight there shouldnt be any issue. If you want to double check for piece of mind, from memory there is a slight indented section on the male parts (both column and rack end) that the bolt sits in. Just when your doing it back up make sure your in the right spot because otherwise you will destroy the bolts. As long as its in there you should be all good.

There is a cut out on the spline that allows the bolt to go through. Just put mine back together for the racecar. Exactly like that.
