Anti lag damage inspection?

How do I check for possible damage caused by antilag?

mitchwnz 12-08-2013 05:31 PM

Look at the car behind you? Is it covered in Petrol?

norwest_rumbler 12-08-2013 05:32 PM

Is finding little bits of plastic bag in your engine a sign of anti lag damage?

Marti 12-08-2013 07:06 PM

If you had a cat. You proberbly wont have one anymore. Can check turbo shaft play aswell

munya 12-08-2013 07:41 PM
If you had a cat. You proberbly wont have one anymore.
can confirm this have done it a few times on me car

astralex 12-08-2013 07:55 PM

I thought antilag was just emissions control for cleaning your cat?? At least that's what I use mine for.

Mister Two 13-08-2013 01:46 PM

You should just work under the assumption that they turbo is now a consumable item. Like brake pads and oil..

Replace regularly.

Open the engine.

Master D 13-08-2013 02:37 PM

You can check by switching antilag on.
If nothing seems to break all is sweet :-)

Le Sigh... the only form of Antilag I have is Launch control. Not the hairy-man special Antilag but enough to get the Mazda hopping and skipping

BUG'N'OUT has Antilag/Rotational Idle at WAW and that made me a tingle in all the right places. Not to mention the cams also added to the raw sound.

By Whom? OP?
I think we're being had...
Negative. I have since found out car has antilag installed. I read it can mess the turbo and engine up. My turbo is already fucked but was wondering if there were some relitively easy checks I could do to rule out any other damage.

astralex 13-08-2013 04:51 PM

You've already had constructive responses, but haven't acknowledged them. What more do you want? Shall I come to your house with my stethoscope and a thermometer and tell you everything will be okay with some rest and healthy eating?

All good mate. I'll just switch on and repeat until it breaks.

astralex 13-08-2013 05:03 PM

If that's all you've gotten from the last two pages, not to mention your plastic bag episode thread, then good luck with it all.

So ask yourself ... if an explosion happens in my exhaust system could there be the potential of damage.

Ummmm ...

Saint_23 13-08-2013 08:43 PM

Antilag is for rally cars.

astralex 13-08-2013 09:03 PM

And for cleaning out the cat.

jasonmurray 13-08-2013 09:53 PM
