Headers, up pipe, exhaust?
Nothing wrong with cheep headers I have been running kando headers bought off eBay years ago and still going strong. The rest of the exhaust however was an xforce, which was later sold to mr fantapants when he owned a wagon bugeye. Then was replace with norm butler, something I should have done 1 time I did twice

Ultrex headers are fine. After a bit of investigation back when I bought my Ultrex headers, 90% of the offerings all come out of the same Asian factory.

I was in the same boat, catback fitted and a rattly up-pipe heatshield. Ultrex do a header/up-pipe combo which I'm planning on getting once they re-stock... have not heard any horror stories with them.
There are cheaper out there (ebay/otherwise), but I'd stick with Ultrex ones as a minimum. Last thing you want to be screwing around with are exhaust leaks or cracks - it will quickly undo any cost savings you thought you had. |
Yep same. Have them on my car (purchased from Ultrex)

anyone knows how much it costs to have someone install a header for you?

STechique love to fit ill fitting Chinese headers.

[QUOTE=davidsdh;769395]Super easy, more than happy to lend a hand (for beer), would be about an hour if you pay someone to do it.
Up pipe takes more like 2 - 3 Literally undo 6 bolts onto the block and the 2 on the up pipe and get some new gaskets. Will the ultrex equal length non twin scroll headers bolt straight onto a my06 sti??
