Break and Rotors

ok i need new rotors and pads.. my pads have heaps on there but are very hard ones.. they have put a gloss on the rotors and made the rotors go to shit as well..

so basically iv been quoted for

DBA650 rotors $120 each
Bendex ultimate pads $84
or
Ferodo FS2000 pads $130

does that sound ok.. are those rotors and pads ok..

Hi_VoLtAgE 07-06-2006 06:52 PM

could you get the rotors machined?? might save you a bit $$$

NVRENUF 07-06-2006 06:53 PM

na they said the rotors cant be machined to low.. and id prefer slotted anyway..

tuna 07-06-2006 06:54 PM

any cheaper then those and you mearswell stick with what youve got.

at least stretch to some 4000's and ds2500's

SilentKilla 07-06-2006 06:59 PM

Its not a good idea to run new pads AND rotors at the same time i hear.

NVRENUF 07-06-2006 07:03 PM

well rms quoted me $550 for those DBA 650 and pads but i can obviusly get them cheaper than that price.. damn mark up..

NVRENUF 07-06-2006 07:04 PM

or i also thinking about DBA5000 with ferodo DS2500 pads rms quoted $780 for that. though i havnt got the cheaper price for that set yet. will do that friday

dba 4000 and ds2500 is a very good combo !

and u CAN have new rotors and pads at the same time, just make sure u get someone who knows what theyre doing to run it in.

NVRENUF 07-06-2006 07:31 PM

yeah 4000 be a little cheaper i guess.

running them in ???? what does that require...

doing both at once i have to becuase i cant just do one.. if i do pads they will only stick to the high points on my current rotors, and rotors the pads will eat the rotors out again.

but id rather do them all at once..

but running them in id like to know more about please.

kenneth2koh 07-06-2006 07:42 PM

hey.... i m also looking for dba 650 and at pair of pad.... or something better... anyone know where to get them cheap???
