Default Ebay part - trustworthy?

Hi All,

i was looking through ebay for some parts (ref my introduction post) for a valve cover gasket set and power-steering hose. Hose ive had no such luck although when i looked at it (couldnt get any decent shots) it seems to be the fittings/crimp have failed or a minor tear on the hose near the crimp.

anyway the point is i found the gasket set on ebay, and they have a compatibility table.....this was where i was confused, listing stated that it would suit EJ20T engine and on the table it looked ok.......however i used the comparison dropdown menu and it came up incompatible.....DAFUQ?????

Link below, anyone able to weigh-in on this? i want to get the car on the road soon (cant get a roadworthy without it) and i was hoping to do the jobs myself (with the help of a friend who is more mechanically minded when it comes to cars......i just work as a fitter).

My experience with them gasket sets is just take car to one of the local mechanics on the forum trust me, they may say they fit but most the time they don't amend you end up paying someone like Stechnic to fix ya stuff up.
