Default If I get into trouble, can I use E10?

hey guys, Just wondering if I ever get in a bad situation and 98 isn't available, will my Impreza WRX my02 be able to handle E10 or is it best to just leave it and call a friend?

where there's E10, there's 98, is there not?

infact, where there's E10, there's also P100.

I would not use e10 but if they had p100 I would run that instead, if I was real desperate I would go 95 and drive like a nana till I can drain it out and fill up with 98.

Recommended fuel for the wrx is 95, not 98. So unless you have serious mods, I don't see the issue.
Plus, the United e10 is equivalent to 95, so that is safe also.

Yeh it is only if it is a complete emergency and the other pumps are not available, basically was wondering if the Subaru actually is allowed to run the E10.

Should be safe, like I said it is equivalent to 95ron, so it will be ok. All the info I've seen from Subaru says as long as the minimum octane rating is correct, E10 is ok.
At least for modern Subaru's. I wouldn't risk e10 in an early turbo Subaru, eg, 2000 backwards. Non-turbo would be fine though.

The ethonol in E10 would be likely to lean the car out, even with the small amount in P100 I have seen a couple standard tune cars do big ends on the first tank of P100, if in doubt use 95 and keep the boost/down as much as possible.
