Default 207 bottom end 205 heads

Argh, hey guys I just need some advice on my engine build, it's doin my head in,
It'll be mostly for track/hill days but street registered to get it there,

New 207 bottom end
Used 205 heads non avcs ( original engine)
06 model turbo, big exh/intake
Sti head gaskets, bolts.
Apexi power fc

Can I actually put these heads on the 207 and not have any huge dramas?
Can I use the original shimmed buckets?
I'm thinking a 264 cam profile, tight dual springs (86lbs), oversize valves, stock cam wheels?

Just don't wanna order all this shit and get it wrong

Sounds similar to my build.

Who's doing the work to the heads? Will be best to get their advice/opinion.

Have a look at my build thread.

I used bugeye ej205 heads on my motor with BC 272 cams & Crower springs.

If you want reliability you should convert the heads to shim under bucket (wrx is shim over bucket) - simple process and prevent shims being spat at high rpm or if you miss a gear.

I made 312hp ath with unported heads, stock injectors and small VF34......

I've got the same setup too. 207 short engine, original 205 heads (Bugeye). Port matched, Kelford 272 cams, arp head studs. Never had a drama. Except for doing the valve clearances when I built the engine. So hard to get hold of shims from Subaru.
Anyway, no dramas here, 35000k's at least so far.
