Default Second opinion need after upgrade

I have had a new turbo bk exhaust fitted along with a new boost solenoid and a tune.

My car is a my11 sti, it feels like it has not gained any power it actually feelers smoother and the turbo doesnt punch no more, they told me it already had be tuned and they needed to unlock the ecu and then they tuned it. Its running at 239 hp at the wheels which does not seem alot at all to me!!

Also the turbo does not punch when it comes in now and when it does the boost solenoid ticks so loud. I cannot hear the turbo anymore either. I dobt think they raised the boost at all, what is a safe boost level for them to raise it to?

Can someone give me there opinion on this matter?

Thanks

Dan

18psi would be safe, and i should c aroumd 40 whp gain, but some tuner insist 16psi is the limit, which should gove u 20whp at the wheel. Oem map is 14.7psi. 240whp was what we get before tuning imless ita an auto (220whp). And solinoid should make lond noise. Check ur tuner again.

Im not gonna say who its was tuned by yet until I go back on Monday and see what they say about it.

Really though I am a 1000$ down and making the same hp as someone who didnt have a tune. It just doesnt seem right to me at all. I was expecting about 270.

The tuner is one the guys on this site recommend, they told me thr car already was tuned but i dont know, charged me 100 to unlock the ecu. Then changed boost solenoid but didnt raise the boost.

Im the type of person that will loose my shit over bad service, but i want to find out the facts first before i do.

It may not feel faster (the punch you talking about) because the car's power delivery is sooner, smoother and less abrupt.

As for peak power you say you have ~240WHP, was this on a hub or roller dyno? Both vary in final figures and the same thing applies to each shop's dyno, which will read slightly different then the each other.

Please post up pictures of dyno graph if possible.
