Does anyone know (from first hand experience) if Turbosmart recirculating BOV's can be adjusted and rotated so they can have the "port" aimed at any angle and not just down towards the ground?

(Im fitting a GD intercooler to a GC8 and the BOV has to have the port go 90 degrees towards the passenger side, but GD BOV's have the port pointing to the ground, that will foul the intake and other shiz on a GC8).

you can also move the coilpack an inch or so, just make some tabs up, here's mine with GD wrx cooler and gfb plumb back (sf5 foz/gc8 wrx , same/same)

Thanks for that!! Was the GFB plumb back a straight bolt on, or did you have to stuff about and rotate it around 90 degrees?

Im at a sticking point....

I'm installing a GD intercooler onto my GC8, and I've hit a block with the BOV. I'm struggling to find a BOV to bolt straight on, any GD BOV will point the vent port straight down, and this will foul against the intake and other things.

I need a BOV to fit the GD style BOV flange from the intercooler, and point 90 degrees to the right (towards the passenger side). But, I just cant find a BOV that does this...

the gfb one spins around in the gd topmount flange, can put the plumb back outlet wherever you want

Hi Matt,

The Turbosmart BOV can be rotated by loosening the locking collar on the bottom of the flange with a pin spanner, once you get it where you want it just tighten it back up and off you go!

Although I have actually kept mine pointing more downwards and towards the intake and gotten rid of the stock hard pipe for the return. I've just run a 29mm hose straight from the BOV to the intake pipe.
