Default Bugeye Brant Removal DIY. Worth Creating one?

Just in the process or removing the Brant system from my 02 Bugeye.
Anyone interested in a DIY for it?
If so then i'll put something together.
If it's been done then i won't bother.
I couldn't find a sticky of it or anyhting on line.

Yes please! I am thinking about removing it from mine as it's playing up. DIY would be appreciated.

Well i can say i have successfully removed mine completely !
If you have an afternoon and some electrical skills it isn't that hard, just requires attention to detail.
I have taken photos and can tell you exactly where to look etc.

Does the car have another system installed or is it just turn the key and start situation? Give the number of WRX's stolen recently that seemed to have no security other than the key I would want to get something that stops them stealing it other than the fact that they don't have the key.

After removing a brant you are still leaving the factory immobiliser in place, so there is no need to add aftermarket alarms.

New alarm installed.

Correct, the key is not even available then difficult to take.
If they really want it though they will take it no matter what.

Hey, i am new to this subaru scene so bare with me.

I purchased a bug eye 2002 subaru wrx with a blown motor off my dads mate that he has had sitting there for ages.
It came with a running ej20 motor i just had to drop it in, wich I dropped in the other day.
I Put the key after the install lastnight it started, everything was all good central locking the doors locked and unlocked, sweet.
So I went to sleep to drive it back home from my mates in the morning.
I got in and it wouldn't start..
What the fuck.
It alarmed immobilized itself and you need the code to un-imobilze it..
And I Haven't got the code..
So what can I do? This whole immobiliser situation has got me stumped.
Will Removing the brant system solve my immobiliser problem?
Will uninstalling the alarm system under the E-brake do anything?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
