JRecardo 04-11-2014 07:49 PM

18x8.5 +44

Fills the guards nicely without poking or looking ridiculous. Here's a pic of my car with Rotas with those specs:

thanks heps guys :) really appericated

The white betty is an STi... wider guards. You won't be getting a +25 offset in a WRX.

Like JRecardo I run 18 x 8.5 +44 Rota DPT on my car. They sit flush.
Personally I wouldn't go further than +40

That size will not fit without guard work and coilovers.

Here is a wheel setup that would sit 10mm further into the guards then what you are proposing.

18x9 +38 (245/40/18)

Owner's comments:
The widest tire I've seen run on an 08-10 WRX without fender modifications was 255/35/18. However, this was on a WRX running coilovers so the height and dampening were adjusted to accomplish this fitment without rubbing
The Americans seem to make it work without coilovers when they throw on some adjustable camber tops...

... but I don't know how much I trust these. Plus I can't imagine they meet ADR so insurance may give you the cold shoulder if you crash.

Honestly for the amount of work and hassle to have these wheels just got for something like: - 18x8.5 +40 / +44 / +45
They will fill the guards, not cause fitment issues and you can run a proper sized tyre on the rim.

18x8.5 +45:

If you still want to run more aggressive size / offset rims stop making threads for each enquiry (keep adding to this thread if necessary) and get your self onto some American WRX sites (Nasioc, IWSTI, I-Club) to see what you have to do to make them fit properly.

Sorry I stop making it , I found a good set at ultrex so hoping to pick it up , that way it fit and don't have to worry about yellow or rolling guard or anything , thanks everyone for the help
