Quick question: Did all my02 stis come with fully forged pistons from factory?
This one has been bugging me for a while because i seem to be getting different answers from forums and mechanics.
Could anyone shed some light? And why would subaru do this to my02 stis but go with semi-forged in the later models? |
I thought they are, who is telling you otherwise?

if it's an EJ207 it has forgies.

Cold start emissions controls and regulations.

Strictly speaking that is ADM only right? As my ej207 is from a jdm my03 and i'm fairly certain it has hyper eutectic pistons. |

All International/JDM Ej207's from my99/00 Version 6 STI onward have either HF-3 or HF-4 oem forgies, version 5 and earlier had to be optioned for them. If yours has cast pistons you have an EJ205. |
