The foam will leave a mess inside the tyre, but in reality once a low profile tyre has been driven on at all when flat, then any tyre shop will replace it & not repair it.

This starts an interesting conversation because I don't know under what method these cars pass ADR's / VSR's, but I dont work at the pits so perhaps there is an exemption they have sought, or an ammendment put into place for certain make/model/origins of vehicle.

Maybe next time I talk to a Dept. of Transport Vehicle Examiner I will ask the question.

(Anyone can contact Dept of Transport and ask btw)

My understanding is that legalities wee changed approx a year ago that any vehicle that passes any international design regs is now legal for Australia. Hence why cars with OEM rear privacy glass below 20% are legal.

I'm sorry I can't cite where that info came from.

The Mrs new Suzuki swift sport doesn't come with a spare but instead comes with a compressor and a bottle of green shit you shake and squeeze in through the valve if you get a flat.

Lot quicker and easier.

BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lambo, Aston, Audi & Smart etc haven't had on-board spare tyres since the dawn of time.........

All have a compressor & a bottle of goop - unless they're BMW/Mini and are of runflat$.

Runflats should only be used on armored cars.

ADR71 for space saver tyres was phased out for new cars in 2003. I have taken cars over the pits with no spare (even though they originally came with one) and have not had an issue.

I've put shit loads of cars over the pits and never had the spare or jacks checked, you get a flat it's really your problem if you have no spare.
