Default Later model oem swaybars into bug wagon

Okey so I know the 2001 bugeye (gdb?) wagon has a thinner rear sway bar (17mm?) than the sedan (19mm?) usdm from my research.
Is this true for adm also?
Also can some please confirm my info that sedan and wagon front swaybars are not compatible?
What about the endlinks any funky business there?

Now also, are there other year /model swaybars that will fit and provide a roll control improvement over the 01 wagon stocker shockers?
How bout other year oem suspension components spring /struts/ braces etc, that would provide better handling.?
I'm mildly interested in a little lift to if it worked out that way. But not willing to pay extra or commit to substantial fabrication.
Only interested in oem options as this stage, it's cheaper and I'll get a kick out of building a mint campin wagon from alternate year oem parts.
But feel free to provide any experiences with after market gear cos if I can't get my satisfaction oem I will start looking at a/m, thanks.

best bang for buck to lift it a bit is to chuck some SG9 forester struts and springs in there, if you get them complete with the top hats they will bolt right in, i did this with mine for a while but got sick of the boat like handling and went back to low LOL
