AVCS questions

Trying to track down some info on single ACVS heads and the solenoids. Currently installing a 2004 STI motor, I'm not looking to run ACVS ATM and I want to know what position the solenoid sits with no power. Would it keep the cam at 0 deg or due to oil still going to it could it shift the position at high rpm with oil pressure?
Does it require power to the solenoid constantly to keep in position?
