Default Air Pump Removal in MY06 STi

Hey Guys,

What is involved with removing the Air Pump. By removing this will it throw up codes on my car?

What needs to be blanked off to do the job properly?

Has anyone got a DIY for doing this?

Finally is there any benefit to its removal?

Cheers

Howd you go with this, mine has started throwing CELs for air pump, wondering if I could get Verso to delete the code for the CEL and leave it as it is ie not bother removing the air pump?
Anyone have experience with this?
Al

I was with a friend and we did this air pump delete on his engine as it was out of the car. It was a nightmare job then and i couldnt imagine it being remotely pleasant with the engine still in the car.

This might help if you haven't purchased from elsewhere yet. Dirt cheap - Subaru WRX/STI/LGT Air Pump Delete - Block-Off Plate Set - ENTRA Imports
