Anything can be made to fit. But the short answer is no. The compressor outlet is wrong for a simple swap.

What's been done to your foz? ... A sti vf turbo is prob. A. Better option .vf 34,35,43

Something comparable to this one would be a. Blouch Dom 1 or 1.5 or a gt pumps s01 or 02 both can bought with the correct front housing

Cheers for the info guys.
Jacob, Fozz is stock at the moment apart from cat back exhaust. Getting the AVO at a good price from a mate and a CES 3" tbe with divorced dp.
Bram.. How Much work is involved to fit the AVO? You mentioned the compressor outlet is the wrong size can this be made to fit somehow? With some adaptor or do I need to change the tmic?
(Next mods- ecu, duel boost control, bov, boost gauge, then fuel pump & injectors)

your mate's good price will be completely negated and more by the cost of making it fit.
the AVO380 outlet is like the left turbo
you want a turbo that has an outlet like on the right

All you had to do is click on the link I provided for you yesterday and check the suitability listed on the page.

The AVO380 was made originally for the Legacy GT and is compatible with MY08+ WRX due to the top mount configuration.

I have a gt myself and honestly it was far better with a vf on. The stock motor, ..the way the cams and heads are set up in a forester is to make torque and power fast and fall over past 5000rpm. ....

I fitted a td05-20 to mine after the vf29 and it was slower due to the turbo not being on full boost till the engine had enough

Thanks for the visual comparison gorotsuki69. Very helpful. Now I know what I'm looking at. It is definitely not a 'bolt on job'. That being cleared up, how could it be fitted? It seems like vf or die is the trend but I was thinking (most likely incorrectly) Couldn't a different y pipe or tmic fix the problem?
Again, I'm most likely wrong as this is the first car I'm modifying myself (not just handing money to a mechanic saying "make it faster" lol. I was a boat mod guy but fell in love with the Fozzy, so I'm giving it my best shot and trying to learn.
So I'm sorry if my questions seem stupid.
I checked out the link above and saw it isn't a bolt on upgrade for a my99, so thank you for that TROLLEY. I'd already checked the website, that's why I came here to ask you guys (who obviously know and may have ideas to help with my project). And I have been helped. Pls, keep the knowledge coming
Can a simple y pipe work or am I still way off?
Thanks
