Default Shuddering Steering On Turning

hi, just installed new suspensions last w/end and after getting a wheel alignment my steering on turning shudders/vibrate really bad.
Can it be anything to do with the alignment?

I had a leaking power steering pump and this was leaking fluid out last week also.
I have sinced tightend the nut to stop this and was wondering if this could have contributed to the problem?
Could i have air in the power steering line that is causing this?

It feels like the power steering is dropping in and out
oh......its a MY03

Any suggestions?

Regards
Brooke

its the power steering mine was doing it till i topped up the fluid... your power steering pump needs a rebuild. ask speedwok to look at it.

I think its just wear and tear and probably a design flaw or 2. My rack had all those symptoms till more fluid was put in. ... shuddering... loss of steering after driving hard etc. 99's are starting to get quite old. May need an Evo 10 sooner than later.

top up the fluid.
If it makes a strange grinding or whining type noise buy a new/secondhand pump.

did it after aligmnet/wheel balance.
was driving fine after the suspension went in, it only started straight AFTER the alignment
someone suggested that maybe the could have bent the tie rod when trying to do the alignment - ie trying to undo the lock nut

I cannot believe that it can be the pump.

Could be from the wheel alignment because you have to turn the wheel from centre to different angles when the car is off, to check caster, to out on turns etc. As they were turning the wheel the p/s pump may have sucked in some air, due to low fluid or other problems. Try with the car off turning the wheel from lock to lock 10 or so times, checking p/s level and top it up if it drops down, that may help bleed air out of your steering

Well I have an 00 pump in the car and it has now failed, it is low K's. Mean while my '92 pump lasted 250,000 kms. So I don't think age is really a determining factor. And if it is whining or making grinding noises it will be the pump as last time I checked tie rods don't make noise.
