Has anyone altered a standard 09 wrx exhaust as such removing resonator and rear muffler .. It definitely looks like 2.5" but wondering how it would sound just curious ??

I did it to my 08 when I first got it. Replaced the rear muffler under the hatch with just a 3 inch straight through pipe. Sounded fantastic. Do it.

yeah i figured due to the smaller pipe it would sound more refined and not so sloppy ..
hp wise when tuned i assume i wont get the same hp as a 3" upgraded system?
