Ej207 into a 04 Wrx. Anyone running that setup?
Hey Guys,
Interested in how many people have swapped a 02-05 EJ207 into a 2004 Wrx? Been told by the workshop that people do it all the time, only need a retune for the big Injectors otherwise it will run rich. 04 wrx Ecu will be fine. I scoured one in Sydney for $2,500 with 89xxxkms on it that got T boned. Those who are running this setup, how do they find it? Cheers |

It's the most common subaru engine swap scenario.
Capable of over 300hp with a decent turbo & tune. Tune options are Ecutec or other flash tune (I have no idea what's available in QLD).

Does it come with the original ECU? If you got the long motor with the turbo, ecu, etc. you can use that ECU so you dont need to get it tuned. However you will need to have the key's transponder chip coded to the ECU which can be done for just over $100.

Does not come with ECU,turbo or top mount. But i have a VF35 and aftermarket top mount.
I can go another EJ205 with 88,xxxkms,for the same amount of money, but for the same price the EJ207 is tempting me more. lol |

I have a MY06 STI spec C bare long motor (no manifolds or turbo) with less than 1000 kilometres on it.
$3500 Sure it is $1000 more but it's like new!

I think everyone is well aware you have the entire 'Spec C', catalogue at your disposal, what's more interesting is all your prices are above retail.
OP give Subaru Parts WA a call or look around.

Really? Whose "retail"? Jeff's prices seem very reasonable for quality goods....
