Coolant leak

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Everyone,
I'm just doing an oil and filter change on the car at the moment. When I removed the undercover tray I noticed dried up coolant on the inside of the cover. It seems to be coming from somewhere towards the back, but when I got under there and had a look I couldn't see anything. Here's a picture of the cover. Can anyone suggest where the leak might be coming from? The car is a 06 WRX with 98,000ks. Thanks

Turbo maybe. Had something similar and it was from the turbo itself.

check the small rubber hose/elbow going to the oil heat transfer above your filter, looks like this:

Swapped turbo lately? I found the Coolant outlet from turbo if not on the perfect angle will leak even with the clamp.

I had a good look at some of the suggestions posted and I found some dried up coolant on top of the turbo. It was coming from a hose that runs from the coolant reserve tank to the turbo, the hose itself looked like it wasn't pushed in enough onto the turbo. I pushed it in as far as I could and tighten the clamp. Hopefully that fixes it, but I'll keep an eye out and monitor it. Thanks for all the replies.

Be aware that those hoses have a history of failing due to the layers separating . If its the original turbo coolant feed hose its 10 yrs old now Do yourself a favour order a new one from Subaru and replace it .

Easy job to do and chances are it wasn't just loose there are two ribs on the metal feed it pushes onto it goes over the first one and stops at the second one . People make the mistake of seeing the second one and thinking the hose isn't pushed on . Double check mate cheap insurance.

Thanks Amtrapid, good advice will do. The top hose seems easy enough to do but how hard is it to do and where is the other outlet? My understanding is that there's 2 one going in(top) and one coming out somewhere from bottom I guess.
