Have you taken the key out of the fob and stuck it in the slot on the door??
it's the pov-pack one, so i've got a "real" key for starting it :D

Is it possible to get up through the engine bay to the bonnet release or to get some leads attached to the battery?
Start motor from memory is located on the rear left hand side of the engine (on the passenger side) from memory.

Looks pretty tight in there :(
Edit: also LHD car there.

yeah, there's not a lot of room. I've not jacked it up yet to see if i can get in at the starter motor. My Patrol's certainly a lot easier to get underneath!

Battery should be covered under warranty for 2 years....I have had one replaced under warranty in the past...

nauli 06-05-2016 02:56 PM

And have you actually spoken to the dealer?

Sneakynuts 06-05-2016 03:30 PM

They are covered by RAC! call them
And have you actually spoken to the dealer?
yeah, and they told me to use the roadside assistance...

TheFlyingBadger 07-05-2016 03:36 PM

Got the RAC out, and they managed to get in - it seems that the key actually worked for them in the lock (grr!). Charged the battery overnight and it seems to be OK now, got a Optima Yellowtop on order now...
