where to look for boost leaks?

So my car is making a really loud whooshing noise when letting off the gas, kinda as if the BOV is venting to atmosphere even though its re-circ, sounds like its coming from the right side of the engine bay when im driving but that could be bias from seating position. It's also lacking power quite noticeably.

Recently changed the intercooler coupler and the turbo inlet hose to see if that was the issue + they were really old anyways, but that wasn't the problem. Intercooler hoses are completely in tact, cant find any leaks at all. BOV spring is fine. Found a slight leak due to an old gasket between the BOV/IC so changed that out and it made a slighttt difference but still not fixed.

I really dont know where to look next and am trying to avoid having to take it to a mechanic. Any ideas?

Do you have a standard airbox or pod filter CAI....if the latter, it will make that noise coming off boost.
