Default Weight of EJ20 motor?

As per title, can someone tell me what an EJ20G long motor weighs? Need to know for transport costing.

Cheerz.

Probs around 50 kg.

Ive lifted a ej25 by myself before. Heavy, but doable.

More than 50kg for a long block. My short block weighs that much. Not sure what the heads weigh?

You are hard as fuck Bram.

My mate and I just lifted it... I'm guessing about 80kg lift each (80kg would be easily my limit), so to answer my own question, approx. 160kg.

Thanks anyway guys.

Yep; just minus turbo, alternator & starter.

Yeah. I dont think i could lift a dressed motor on my own. But i can lift a bare long motor. I might have been a little under with my 50kg estimate, but its do-able.

To give you a rough idea on freight, my Spec C engine (with turbo but no alternator or PS pump) was $255 to ship from Kewdale to Victoria...

That's a damn good price... I'm using Watsons Express for $462 from Melb to Welshpool, depot to depot.

For future reference and the benefit of members, who did you use?

Have you tried Ego couriers. Slow as buggery, but very competiitve rates. Probs works out about $150 depot to depot.
