Default Subaru Outback air con

Hi

I have an 04 outback. The air con compressor shredded itself and stripped the belt. I need to replace the whole air con unit. What year models can I get a second hand one from. Are they universal between the Subaru models. Anything else I need to be aware of.

Regards

Andrew

Earlier GC units are larger from memory, I'd grab Bram's and pay the postage.
