2015 - 2017 STI largest OEM TMIC?
Ive heard that the MY15-17 OEM STI TMIC is the largest OEM TMIC subaru has ever made.
Apparently its thicker (depth) than the GRB STI 08-14 TMIC. And has better end tanks for better flow? According to MRT. Jump to 5:45 mark. https://youtu.be/6Z3V0rRq_rQ Can anyone confirm this ? |

So its true..
The GDB TMIC STI 08-14 dimensions are as follows. (527mm wide x 174mm tall x 76.mm deep) i wonder how much deeper the core is on the STI 15-17 TMIC Is it 90mm? ie as thick as the PW TMIC 08-14 |

For those interested.
This is the core measurements.. STI OEM 15-17 TMIC Core Size: 530 x 193 x 90mm For Comparison. PW GRB 08-14 TMIC Core Size: 530 x 193 x 90mm PW GC8 99-00 TMIC Core Size: 490 x 175 x 90mm PW GDB 02-07 TMIC Core Size: 490 x 193 x 90mm So Yep.. The largest OEM TMIC Subaru has ever made. Anybody had any experience/Dyno gains with this TMIC vs the PW equivalents.? |

I'd be interested to see dyno results compared, where ONLY the intercooler was changed....
My guess is peak power wont change, it'll be more along the lines of how long the air charge stays cool, and therefor less power drop off on the track or street. |
