Alloy Y-pipe
 

Hey guys i have a STi Alloy Y-pipe that i am going to be installing tomorrow.

Now i just want to know if i need to seal it up with gasket glue or anything where it joins to the tmic? or is it as simple as putting the old gaskets on and bolting it up?

If you can get new gaskets from subaru, do so... I'd Imagine they would be pretty cheap being just gaskets.

I just used gasket glue. So did the previous owner. Seemed to work fine.

Better flow and pretty much no chance of spilting.

oh ok thought so, any performance advantages?

better flow = quicker/smooth response
