Default Aftermarket fuel rail leak

Hey guys, I recently bought a fuel rail kit from nickle_sport
WRX-STI-GC8-EJ20-For-Subaru-V5-V6-Fuel on ebay, and I do not seem to be able to get the small o ring into the fuel rail without damaging it. The OEM Subaru has a chamfer straight into the o ring seat, where as the aftermarket chamfer is further up, then the recess where the o ring seats has sharp edges and no chamfer- which destroyed all 4 o rings as I installed into the rail.

Anyone else have this problem ? No of any solutions?

I would try a smear of rubber grease or vasoline to ease insertion. A little lube will go a long way. Giggitty.

The o rings have all split in half, like they were too big outer diameter ?https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi...&ref=bookmarks

Have seen the same happen on a Version 6 WRX with similar fuel rails. Lubrication didn't help, ended up swapping to another set that had the chamfer cut in and they seated first shot with no problems. They would probably go if the stars align and your O-Rings are spot on, but it seems a bit of a crappy design.

Ended up buying a set of CDF Racing side feed fuel rails for mine (haven't used them yet, though). From what I could see all the eBay spec ones don't have the chamfer.
